C-SPAN Brings its Digital Bus to Riverwood
Eighty Sandy Springs students in the Broadcast Video Production class had 20-minute tour of the many great features the bus has to offer.
C-SPAN, in partnership with Comcast and Sandy Springs Education Force, brought its Digital Literacy 2012 Bus to Riverwood International Charter School, last week.
Aboard the Digital Literacy 2012 Bus, 80 students in the Broadcast Video Production class had 20-minute tour of the many great features the bus has to offer. The bus is equipped with touch screen computers that demonstrate C-SPAN's many websites, including the Video Library, C-SPAN Classroom, Congressional Chronicle, and Book TV.

Christian Reeder, a Riverwood class president and Broadcast Video Production student praised C-SPAN for providing unbiased political information.
“This was an amazing opportunity to learn about a resource that can help me throughout high school and beyond,” she added.

Lori Koser, Riverwood Broadcast Video Production Teacher, said the C-SPAN Digital Bus provided a real-world learning experience to her students, and communicated the breadth of employment opportunities in the field of broadcast video production.”
