Crime: Car Thefts and More Vehicle Break-ins

Sandy Springs Police says numerous thefts from vehicles occur every week.

 

 

Reports of Car thefts and break-ins provided by Sandy Springs Police Capt. Steve Rose.

On July 27, A woman reported that about 3:30 p.m. while she was in the Atlanta Bread Company at Perimeter Pointe Shopping Center, someone stole her 2007 black Lexus IS.

On July 29, a man said that someone stole his Jeep Cherokee from the El Azteca Restaurant on Roswell Road, sometime between 8:40 and 10:30 p.m.

According to Police, at least nine car break-ins occurred along Roswell Road between July 27 and Aug. 2. About 20 total car break-ins were reported during that period. The reports included locations on Hammond Drive, Wingate Way, Huntcliff Village Court, Concourse Parkway, Perimeter Center and several other streets.

There seems to be an increase in car break-ins and thefts. I wonder what the police are doing to increase the security of car owners. Even car parts are being stolen and sold somewhere else.
