City officials have repeatedly said they want residents' input on the new downtown area. During an April meeting with homeowner association representatives, City Manager John McDonough said five public meeting days would each address different issues related to the planning process.

City leaders and representatives from master planning firm have already begun to call on members of the community for feedback on concepts.

For Tuesday’s meeting city staff is interested in public feedback on the following questions:

What places in/around the study area represent priority opportunities for positive change? What places deserve priority for preservation?

What key strengths/assets of the study area and larger Sandy Springs community should help shape the downtown vision?

What priority goals should the downtown vision highlight and make possible?

What critical challenges do we need to overcome to achieve these goals?
