Five Things to Do This Weekend [Last Week of Farmers Market]

This is the final weekend of the Sandy Springs Farmers Market and the MJCCA Book Festival.

 

 

  • Sandy Springs Farmer’s Market. This is the last Saturday of the season to support the farmers and vendors at the Sandy Springs Farmer’s Market.  The market will close for Winter and re-open in the Spring. 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, in the old Target parking lot, 235 Sandy Springs Circle NW.
  • Regis Philbin and Dyan Cannon at the MJCCA Book Festival. Don’t miss the final weekend of the 20th edition of the Book Festival of the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta. Actress Dyan Cannon appears on Saturday and Regis Philbin, who holds the Guinness World Record for the most hours spent in front of a television camera, will be the final author to speak on Sunday. Complete schedule and ticket information.
  • Fall Festival & Arts/Craft Fair. With $1 carnival activities plus great food, community vendors, artisan booths and more, it will be a fun-packed day at Sandy Springs Charter Middle School. 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 8750 Colonel Dr. Free.
  • Comedy and Magic: The Amazing Jonathan and Christian Salso. In separate shows the two renowned comedy magicians will demonstrate their illusion and stand up skills, this weekend, at The Punchline. Visit the website for showtimes and ticket prices.
  • How to Buy a Telescope Workshop. Join the Atlanta Astronomy Club in their session on “How to buy a telescope as a Gift.” Focusing on how to choose an age appropriate telescope for a new astronomer, the event is sponsored by the City of Sandy Springs Recreation and Parks Department. 7 p.m. Friday, SSUMC Hitson Memorial Activities Center, 85 Mount Vernon Hwy NW.
