Several of the Sandy Springs high school students performed were double cast. See Below.

Riverwood International Charter School actors made audiences laugh all the way to the end of the show in their fall play “Rumors”, written by Tony and Pulitzer prize-winning playwright Neil Simon. The show ran from Oct. 11-14th, and several roles were double cast to ensure more acting opportunities for advanced thespians.

Directed by RICS theater teacher Mary Beth van der Hoek, the farcical and hilarious comedy explores the lives of eight clueless upper class guests who gather in a posh suburban residence for a dinner party celebrating their hosts’ tenth anniversary. To their surprise, there is neither a cook nor hosts; in fact, the host – deputy mayor of New York City – has shot himself through the earlobe in what appears to be an attempted suicide.
