Riverwood Names New Assistant Principal
Pete Harris, her predecessor at the Sandy Springs school, retired last Friday after 33 years in education.
Jillian Harris has been named assistant principal at Riverwood International Charter School.
She replaces Pete Harris [no relation] who retired last Friday after 33 years in education, 13 of which have been spent at Riverwood.
Jillian Harris came to Riverwood in August of 2011 to teach English Literature and has taught ninth, 10th and 12th grades. The Dalton, Ga. native started her teaching career at Hopewell Middle School in Alpharetta. Additionally, she is certified in Education Leadership through the University of Georgia.

Didn't know Pete Harris stayed that long at Riverwood. His first year was my senior year (1999-2000 school year). I remember he was very eager to make his mark on the school. We also had Willie Vincent who came on board that year as well. I wonder whatever happened to him.
