A wreck early Saturday caused the closure of a section of Roswell Road near North Springs Shopping Center for 10 hours Saturday, WSBTV reports.

The road opened back up at around 4 p.m.

A car slammed into a power pole and caused power lines to dangle. The road was shut down so a repair crew could come in and fix the problem around 5:30 a.m..

Police closed both directions of Roswell Road blocked between Dalrymple Road and just past the damaged pole.

The driver who hit the pole fled the scene when the power pole was downed.
