Officers were contacted by social workers at the hospital and later detectives interviewed the pair.

It appears the child crawled under a bed where Robinson kept a .380 pistol. The child then discharged the gun, shooting himself in the thumb. Both Shaunell Robinson and Kevin Kennard were home at the time.

Shaunell Robinson is charged with Reckless Conduct. She will appear on May 16 in Sandy Springs Municipal Court. The weapon was placed into the SSPD property room.
