The City of Sandy Springs will pay tribute to military veterans and their families during a public Veterans Day ceremony, Monday.

The free event starts at 11 a.m., with music at 10:30 a.m.

State Rep. Joe Wilkinson is honorary chairman of the event. Master of Ceremonies is former WSB-TV news anchor John Pruitt.

Keynote speaker will be Major General (ret.) Maria Britt. Prior to assuming her current duties as associate vice president for operations at Kennesaw State University, Britt served as the Commanding General in charge of Georgia’s 11,000 National Guard soliders.
