Act3 Productions, the professional-level community theater based in Sandy Springs, will hold auditions for actors age 14 through adult for The Arabian Nights Tuesday, Nov. 27, from 6-11 p.m.  Callbacks will be held Wednesday, Nov. 28.  Auditions for actors, singers, dancers, comedians and storytellers are by appointment only.  Those interested should contact dawnzachariah@gmail.com with their full name, gender, age, time preference for audition and availability for callbacks.

Based on The Book of the Thousand and One Nights by Mary Zimmerman, the play blends tales from Arabian Nights with the recurring theme of how the magic of storytelling has the power to change people.  It will be directed by Brian Clowdus, executive/artistic director of Serenbe Playhouse, and performances are scheduled for Feb. 14-24.

Singers should prepare 16 bars of an a capella song, and anyone who plays an instrument should bring it to the audition. Rehearsals will begin Jan. 21, 2013.  Auditions, rehearsals and performances will be held at the Act3 Playhouse, 6285-R Roswell Road, behind Trader Joe’s.  www.act3productions.org/documents/ArabianNightsAudition.pdf
