Both of these important  issues are on the minds of parents and children and the Sandy Springs Police Department wants to help by providing this informative class that is held one Thursday a month and is tailored to our residents. The lead instructor, Officer Brian Morgan, has many years of experience as a police officer and as a defensive tactics instructor.

Officer Morgan and the other officers who teach this class have worked very hard over the past two years to develop this class. Officer Morgan states, “We are very proud of this accomplishment and excited that we can educate the parents and children on methods that can help prevent a child from being abducted and how to deal with and handle bullies.”

The class is for children  8–12 years of age and a parent or legal guardian must attend the class with their child. In addition, we require a waiver to be signed.
