DESCRIPTION:http://mormon.org/worship\n\nAll Visitors are Welcome\n\nWe l
ove visitors and hope you&rsquo\;ll join us.\n\nWe also understand that
you might have some concerns. Maybe you&rsquo\;re afraid of looking or f
eeling out of place\, worried you might have to say or do something that
would make you feel uncomfortable. We hope this will alleviate some of
 your concerns.\n\nWhat to Expect\n\nWhat should I wear?\n\nYou&rsquo\;re
welcome to wear any modest clothes that you feel comfortable in. But ju
st so you know\, most men wear suits\, sport coats and shirts and ties\,
and women wear dresses or skirts. Children also typically dress up.\n\n
Do I have to donate money?\n\nNo. We don&rsquo\;t solicit donations or p
 ass a plate.\n\nDo I have to participate?\n\nNo. Visitors aren&rsquo\;t
required to participate in any way. You can simply sit back and enjoy th
 e service.\n\nWill I feel uncomfortable attending alone?\n\nWe hope not.
Many of our members come to Church by themselves each week. However\, i
f you&rsquo\;d like someone to attend with you for the first time\, feel
free to contact the missionaries or the bishop of the ward when you arr
ive and they&rsquo\;ll find you a friend to sit with. It&rsquo\;s always
hard to be new\, regardless of the situation\, but in time you&rsquo\;l
l get to know the other members and feel more at home.\n\nWill everyone
know I&rsquo\;m a visitor and not a Mormon?\n\nThis probably depends on
the size of the branch or congregation you&rsquo\;re visiting. Some cong
regations are so large (up to 600 members) that its regular members may
or may not realize you&rsquo\;re a visitor. Others are so tiny the membe
rs all know each other and will definitely recognize and welcome a newco
mer.\n\nHow long does church last?\n\nOur primary family worship service
is called sacrament meeting. It&rsquo\;s held in our chapels on Sunday
and lasts approximately one hour. You&rsquo\;re welcome to come alone or
bring your family\; children are present in virtually all our congregat
ions.\n\nWhat happens during sacrament meeting?\n\nWe sing hymns (hymn b
ooks are provided). Church members say opening and closing prayers. We p
artake of the sacrament (communion)\, which consists of prepared bread a
nd water\, blessed and passed to members of the congregation by priestho
od holders. And we listen to two or more speakers who are usually member
s of the congregation. You might be surprised that we don&rsquo\;t have
just one pastor or preacher. We do have an unpaid bishop who presides ov
er each congregation (called a ward).\n\nAre there any other meetings on
Sunday?\n\nBefore or after sacrament meeting there are a variety of oth
er age-appropriate meetings you and your children can attend. If you wan
t to attend these additional meetings: Ask someone for directions. If th
ey don&rsquo\;t know\, they&rsquo\;ll find someone who does. Visit the M
eetinghouse Locator to find the beginning time of the three-hour block o
f meetings&nbsp\;or the starting time of the one-hour sacrament meeting.
\n\nOther Meetings on Sundays\n\n\n\nSunday school classes (called Prima
ry) for children ages 3 through 11.&nbsp\;A nursery is available for chi
ldren ages 18 months to 3 years.\n\nSunday school classes for teens and
adults.\n\nYoung Women meetings for those 12 through 17 years of age.\n\
nRelief Society for women ages 18 and older.\n\nPriesthood meetings for
 males 12 years and older.\n \n\n\n&nbsp\;
