Holy Innocents' Gets Nod for Theater Achievement
Holy Innocents' Episcopal School has received three Shuler Hensley honorable mentions for outstanding work this year in theater arts.
Two seniors were recognized for their work in "Curtains": Drew Andersen (acting) and Harrison McCrorie (lighting design), as well as teacher Maria Karres-Williams (choreography).
The Georgia High School Musical Theatre Shuler Hensley Awards are fashioned after the Tonys. The show will be broadcast live on April 18.
The annual awards—formally called the Georgia High School Musical Theater Awards—are the high school equivalent of the Tony Awards, and are named for award-winning actor Shuler Hensley, a Georgia native who made his Broadway debut in 2000. The "Shulers" celebrate the best in Georgia high school musical theatre.
