5 Things to do This Weekend: Comedy, Music and Dance, Plus a Huge Yard Sale

Happenings in Sandy Springs and nearby.

 

  • Project Dance at North Springs Charter High School. North Springs Dance presents "Project Dance: Student Choreography Showcase" featuring original student choreography performed on the NSCHS Main Stage. 7 p.m., Friday. $15.
  • Monster Mash Dance Party. Children ages 2 to 12-years-old are invited to the party for Halloween activities, games, music and a children’s costume contest with prizes. All activities are free and prizes and crafts will be available while supplies last. Children must be accompanied by an adult. 2-5 p.m., Saturday at Perimeter Mall. Free.
  • Huge Yard Sale Benefitting Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. A multi-family yard sale. Forty-three athletes are training for a full IronMan Triathlon. While doing that, they have committed to raising critical funds for cancer research and patient services. Join them in the fight against blood cancers and get some great steals and deals. This is not just their treasures, friends and neighbors have donated items too. Furniture, collectibles, children's items and much more will be for sale. 8:00 am–2:00 pm 3100 Northside Dr N.W. Northside Drive Baptist Church.
  • Pianist David Nash Performs. Nash is a past first place winner of the Atlanta Music Club Scholarship Auditions and of the Mercer-Atlanta Annual Concerto Competition. He was an Outstanding Student Scholarship Recipient at Mercer University. His students have won top awards at auditions sponsored by the Roswell/Alpharetta Federated Music Club. 4 p.m., Saturday at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center. $20
