  • Roots of Sandy Springs. highlights the community's historically largest cultural groups -- Scots-Irish and African- Americans.
  • Pet Adoptions. Volunteer or adopt a pet. The Homeless Pets Foundation has pets available for adoption every Saturday and Sunday at the located at 128 Perimeter Center West. 11:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m, Saturday and noon-4:30 p.m., Sunday.
  • Square Dancing. Ole fashion family fun. Bring your family and friends for an evening of . The Atlanta Squares will teach us basic dance steps and songs. Fun for the whole family. 7 p.m., Saturday in the Hitson Center at the Sandy Springs United Methodist Church.
  • Stand-up Comedy. New York native Colin Kane performs his "acidic humor" at The Punchline through Sunday. $20.
