Why go: Nutrition Detectives with Janet Dee returns with more quality nutrition information and some excellent snack suggestions. This is a hands-on workshop for kids to learn how to select healthy food options. Ages 7-12.

  • ANNE FRANK EXHIBIT

When/Where: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday – Thursday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Noon to 4 p.m. Saturday & Sunday at 5920 Roswell Rd NE (Parkside Shopping Center).

Why go: Using over 600 photographs and 8,000 words of text, the Anne Frank in the World: 1929-1945 exhibit tells the story of Anne Frank- a young, popular and precocious girl- and her family, following them from freedom in 1920's Germany, to exile in the Netherlands, to hiding in a secret annex above her father's business in Amsterdam, and finally, to death in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. Appropriate for 5th graders and up.

How much: Free.

  • ALL SHOOK UP

When/Where: 8 p.m. Thursday at Act3 Productions, 6285 Roswell Rd N.E.

Why go: This lively musical featuring Elvis Presley favorites has proven so popular that all planned performances sold out. You’re in luck, they’ve added just one more on Thursday night.  The Act3 Productions’ Black Box Theatre is tucked behind Trader Joe's in Sandy Springs Plaza.

How much: $20 for adults. $15 for students and seniors (65+). Tickets can be purchased at the box office located in The Scarlett Tassel in the Sandy Springs Plaza or on the website. Any tickets not sold prior to the show will be available for $10 at the door.

  • PARKS & RECREATION SUMMER CAMP REGISTRATION

When/Where: Monday morning online at the Summer Camp Registration Website.

Why go: Sign up your children, ages 4 to 14, for a variety of camps taking place at locations around Sandy Springs. Choose from day camps, sports camps, creative theatre and more.

How much: $45 and up.

  • DEAR EDWINA JUNIOR

When/Where: Noon and 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the , 8105 Roberts Dr.

Why go: Over 200 students of The Davis Academy make up the cast of the family-friendly musical, Dear Edwina Junior. Don’t miss the last weekend of performances!

How much: Tickets are $10 and are available online.
