Heritage Sandy Springs Farmers Market Starts Saturday

The market will be held on the lower level of Parkside Shopping Center on Sandy Springs Circle every Saturday through November.

Residents have to wait just three more days before the Heritage Sandy Springs Farmers Market opens for the 2014 season. 

The Heritage Sandy Springs Farmers Market will debut its 2014 season on Saturday, April 12 at its original location, 235 Sandy Springs Circle. The site sits on the lower level of Parkside Shopping Center across the street from Lake Forest Elementary School. 

Sandy Springs Mayor Rusty Paul at 10 a.m. will lead a ribbon cutting to officially open the new season. 

The market this year will run between 8:30 a.m. to noon each Saturday through November. Each week, the market will have live music and vendors selling fresh, local produce, pasture-raised meat products, eggs and dairy products and a variety of prepared food. 

The inaugural day for the 2014 season will feature over 50 farmers, growers, parepared food vendors and artists. Music artist Juliana Finch will provide tunes and sponsor Whole Foods Market Sandy Springs will give out complimentary shopping totes to the first 100 attendees.

The market this year will be organized and managed by Heritage Sandy Springs.
