What The? Gas Prices Surge at Some Stations

A week ago, gas prices were as low as $3.07

A friend called Saturday to complain that gas in her Austell neighborhood had jumped to $3.35. Since gas prices in her area are usually 10 cents lower than Sandy Springs, I braced myself before I left home.

My local Exxon, which normally stays in line with QuikTrip, was $3.59 for regular gas. They surprisingly, outpriced the other expensive gas stations whose prices hung around $3.43.

As in Austell, regular gas at the local QuikTrip station was $3.35.

Where do you find the cheapest gas?

Kroger Fountain Oaks or Kroger City Walk gas stations. Ten cents or more off the gallon when you spend $100 at the store in a month (easy to do). I almost exclusively get gas at those Krogers at they're the cheapest around! Very often under $3.

Thanks, Anne. I've heard that before and need to follow that advice. BTW, I noticed Exxon on Roswell Road dropped from $3.59 to $3.35, this morning. However, the Chevron across the street remains at $3.59.

I get my gas from the Costco on Peachtree Dunwoody off Mt Vernon Hwy. Always MUCH cheaper and the gas seems to last longer then when I get gas from Kroger City Walk.
