Whole Foods Held Its Fundraiser for Poor in Under-Developed Countries on Saturday

For the last five weeks, the Sandy Springs market has participated in several events to meet their goal of raising more than $18,000.

 

Sandy Springs residents were treated to a tasting event outside Whole Foods Market on Saturday. The event was part of its fundraising campaign, “Giving Grill & International Bazaar,” to benefit Whole Planet Foundation.

The non-profit foundation works to help the poor in under-developed countries.

For the last five weeks, Whole Foods has held several events to meet their goal of raising more than $18,000. According to the market, to date Whole Planet Foundation has committed more than $26.5 million and disbursed more than $15.5 million through microfinance partners in 50 countries, positively impacting more than a million people worldwide.

Along with delicious food servings, Saturday’s outdoor event included crafts and jewelry, made and contributed by Whole Foods staff and a fun photo booth.
