Sandy Springs happenings on this St. Patrick's Day Weekend.

 

  • Dominic Nocerino, Jr., owner of Sant’ Elena estate in northern Italy, will join guests at in Sandy Springs for a five-course Italian spread paired with the wines of Sant’ Elena estate at 7:30 p.m., Friday.   • Comedy. Veteran comic Wendy Liebman has appeared on “The Late Show With David Letterman,” “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno” and “The Rosie Show,” and performs on Friday and Saturday at . Comedian James Sibley performs on Sunday. Visit the website for showtimes and prices.
  • “Beauty and the Beast, Jr.” presents a re-working of the popular Broadway musical for younger cast members and audiences. Performances runs through the weekend and March 23-25.  The story follows Belle, who becomes a captive in the Beast’s enchanted castle. Only true love can break the spell and turn the Beast into a handsome prince.  Dancing flatware, menacing wolves, and singing furniture fill the stage with thrills in this beloved fairy tale about very different people finding strength in one another and learning how to love.  www.act3productions.org
  • from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday. The informational sessions, which will be in English, Spanish and Portugese, include preparing healthy food on a budget, breast health care, chiropractic and dieting and nutrition. The event is open to all women in Dunwoody and Sandy Springs and is located at 5676 Roberts Drive.
  • Meehan’s St. Patrick’s Day Blowout. Start your early with eggs and kegs from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Also get a free Guinness. $10 Cover charge begins at 1 p.m. when the live music. Also watch Rugby matches on the big screen, and Irish Dancers from the King O’ Sullivan School. Free limo rides home will be offered from 9 p.m, to 1 a.m. - tipping your driver is the only cost.
