"Show Stoppers" Today Broadway Tomorrow

Judges from the "American Idol" inspired contest included Jody Feldman, head of casting at the Alliance Theatre and Rosemary Newcott, the Sally G. Tomlinson Artistic Director of Theatre for Youth at the Alliance.

 

Young “Show Stoppers” took the Sandy Springs stage, last weekend, in front of esteemed judges and put on quite a performance.  

Inspired by “American Idol,” Act 3 Productions and Arts Sandy Springs presented “Show Stoppers” for local elementary, middle and high school students, public and private, on April 21st at the Church of the Redeemer. Produced by the Spartan Arts volunteers at North Springs Charter High School, there were nearly 40 performances spanning two shows.

Judges included music producers, vocal coaches, Jody Feldman, head of casting at the Alliance Theatre and Rosemary Newcott, the Sally G. Tomlinson Artistic Director of Theatre for Youth at the Alliance.

Owen Claire Smith, Ellie Duncan and Justice Michael were first, second and third place winners, respectively, among the kindergarten to seventh graders.
