Diamond Interchange: Continued Roadwork for Sandy Springs Commuters

"Slip lane" of the I-285 eastbound off-ramp from I-285 directly onto Lake Hearn Drive, which will close for several months beginning March 6.

Construction of the innovative Diverging-Diamond Interchange at Ashford Dunwoody Road and I-285 continues to progress on schedule.

All eastbound off-ramp lanes at I-285 and Ashford Dunwoody Road will remain open throughout the construction project with the exception of the far right lane “slip lane” of the eastbound off-ramp from I-285 directly onto Lake Hearn Drive, which will close for several months beginning March 6.  During this phase of construction, Lake Hearn Drive traffic will be required to proceed to Ashford Dunwoody Road and turn immediately to the right to enter Lake Hearn Drive as an alternative route.

Removal of existing sidewalks on the Ashford Dunwoody Road Bridge is currently underway. All pedestrians will need to use the sidewalk on the west side of the bridge (the same side as Perimeter Mall and the Best Buy/ Rooms To Go shopping center) until the current reconfiguration is complete and temporary sidewalks are installed.
