H&R Block in the DeKalb Industrial shopping center with the big 24-hour Kroger. Ask for Margaret Lunsford. She's the best.

You've omitted AARP-Foundation's TaxAide program, a free service for elderly and low-income taxpayers. They can't do all returns (for example, rental income with expenses or self employment with expenses over $10K) but any return they can do is free for both state and federal electronic filing. See http://www.aarp.org/money/taxes/aarp_taxaide/ for locations and times. Several libraries in Dekalb are participating locations.

I agree with Bob...I had mine done at library by the AARP TaxAide folks ( you don't have to be an AARP member )...they did a great job and were very helpful and went over returns step by step....they give you copies of returns for your records... and like he said it is free for 60 or old folks...

@J C: It's free for everyone, not just 60 or older. AARP set it up to do "older" folks, but partial funding by the IRS requires no discrimination, age or otherwise. The only permitted screening is ruling out people who have "complicated" returns that the counselors are not trained to prepare.
