Thanks so much for the reference to Trackside Tavern...that Blue Plate special was AMAZING! (and yes I am shouting because it was that good!). We recently moved to Avondale Estates and our kitchen isn't functional yet...I was really worried about not getting my greens and black-eyed peas on New Years. I needn't have worried...the peas, greens, ham and cornbread were terrific and the Hunter's Stew was out of this world...it was also fun to watch the ball games :D. I lived in Decatur for 20 years and never went into Trackside Tavern...I was very surprised...no smoking, pool tables, dart boards and lots of TVs for sports watching. It is a 21 and over only...but really great!
