What Should Go Here? Old TV Repair Shop

This is one of many empty storefronts in Avondale Estates. Do you have an idea about what kind of business you'd like to see there?

You may have overlooked this empty storefront in Avondale Estates, right next to on East College Avenue.

A television repair shop used to operate there, but it's been vacant for quite a while.

What kind of business would you like to see moving into this space?

About this column: Every week or so, we'll post a picture of a vacant store or lot in Decatur and Avondale Estates. You can tell us what you think should replace the empty space. Know of an empty building we should highlight? E-mail ralph.ellis@patch.com.

Things could have changed, but the Ray's site was NOT fully owned by the developer when it filed bankruptcy. That is why I thought you might check with the mortgagee. (Not the Bank but the previous sellers of the property) I would guess something has been worked out if it is moving forward, or maybe not. It would be interesting to see. If I run into Jonathan, at Ray's I will find out.

I totally agree, but would love to see some other years added, at least through the 70's. I am a '76 grad and some of my old classmates, along with some older classmates, have been very active in supporting the AHS sports programs in the past several years. Some of us 70's classmates have talked about what we might could do with all the awards through the years, along with the "Flying A". I would, and could probably speak for a few others, love to participate in such a venture, if we could get it together. It is a wonderful idea!
