5 Things to Do This Weekend in Sandy Springs

Great deals on food, getting in a Christmas mood or getting some laughs--there's a lot to do around Sandy Springs this weekend.

  • If your kids are already in the mood to see Santa Claus, he's available at Perimeter Mall all weekend: Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Get some great deals at B & R Thrift Store's 99 Cent Day sale today, when all clothing tagged with a certain color of label will be priced at 99 cents. In addition, the other special color label of the week will be worth 50 percent off. There are also coupons on the store's Facebook page and weekend specials.
  • Genki Noodles and Sushi offers Genki After Dark on Friday and Saturday after 10 p.m. There's a late night menu featuring specially-themed items priced at $3, $5, $7 or $9.
  • On Sunday at Roswell Presbyterian Church, the Atlanta Baroque will perform Handel's Messiah in its entirety using the score from the original production in 1742 in Dublin, Ireland. For the occasion, baroque solo singers from all over the country are coming to Atlanta. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. There are special rates for seniors, students and groups.
  • Lynne Koplitz is at the Punchline all this weekend. All shows are no smoking and passes are not accepted on Saturday or Sunday. Friday tickets are $15 while Saturday and Sunday tickets are $20.
