Video: Former Sandy Springs Student Stars in 'Zoo' Film With Matt Damon

Move over Justin Bieber, former Holy Innocents’ student Colin Ford is becoming a teen heartthrob.
Fifteen-year-old Ford plays the son of Matt Damon’s character in the new film, “We Bought a Zoo.”

Ford attended HIES during his pre-school and some elementary school years, according to Peggy Shaw, spokesperson for the school. According to the popular film site IMDB, Ford made his movie debut at age 5 in “Sweet Home Alabama.”
The teen was modest about his rising teen idol status during a recent appearance on Anderson Cooper’s daytime talk show, with the cast of “We Bought a Zoo.” That didn’t stop Damon from joking about Ford’s sudden shift into a deep voice when the topic came up. See the attached clip.
