Morning Paddle with a Ranger. Grab your kayak or canoe and join a park ranger for a relaxed float down the Chattahoochee River from Powers Island to Paces Mill at U.S. 41. There are three mild class 1.5 rapids suitable for beginners along this part of the river. Dress in quick drying clothes and wear river shoes. No flip-flops. 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sunday, at Cochran Shoals - Powers Island, 5862 Interstate North Pkwy N.W. $3 entrance fee.
