Julia Bernath Leads Fulton School Board Race

With 23 out of 24 precincts reporting, Julia Bernath is in the lead to hold on to the Fulton County School Board District 7 seat.

Incumbent Julia Bernath is in the lead to possibly hold on to the District 7 seat on the Fulton County School Board.

Bernath is currently leading leading challenger Kate Wittschen for the seat, which represents the Sandy Springs area on the board.

With 23 out of 24 precincts reporting results, Bernath has 53 percent, or 3,273 votes. Wittschen currently has 47 percent, or 2,881. 

For the Fulton County Commission District 2 race, Republican candidate Bob Ellis appears to be on his way to defeating challenger Eric Broadwell. With 58 of 59 precincts reporting results, Ellis is leading the race with 66 percent, or 5,831 votes, to Broadwell's 34 percent, or 3,051 votes.

For the District 3 seat, candidate Lee Morris is leading the field. 
 
With 44 out of 62 precincts reporting, Morris currently has 57 percent, or 3,712 votes. He's followed by fellow challengers Bernie Tokarz at 17 percent, or 1,091 votes; Cory Ruth at 16 percent, or 1,033 votes; and Alexander Palacios at 11 percent, or 682 votes.

In the at-large District 7 race, Democrat John Eaves is holding onto a slim lead over fellow incumbent Robb Pitts. With 298 out of 365 precincts reporting, Eaves currently leads with 51 percent, or 17,565 votes over Pitts' 49 percent, or 17,045 votes. 

Eaves will face Republican challenger Earl Cooper.
