Sandy Springs City Council Seat: Bauman/Stoj Run-off Planned for Dec. 3

Patty Berkovitz filed an open records request with Fulton County, and is pursing an inquiry with the Georgia Secretary of State's office after problems arose at the Church of Atonement precinct on Election Day.

Fulton County certified the election, on Saturday, and a run-off has been scheduled for District 6 City Council candidates Andy Bauman and John Stoj.

Patty Berkovitz filed an open records request with Fulton County, and is pursing an inquiry with the Georgia Secretary of State’s office after problems arose at the Church of Atonement precinct on Election Day.

There was less than a 55 vote difference between Stoj and Berkovitz.

Patch reported on Election Day that District 6 voters at the Church of Atonement precinct were given District 5 ballots, and basically discovered that they could either vote for a District 5 candidate or not vote at all.

The problem was cleared up later in the afternoon, according to Fulton County Elections Chief Dwight Brower.
