Working for a living has never been as funny as it is in the
musical “9 to 5”. Presented by Act3
Productions April 10-27 and May 2-3 at the Act3 Playhouse in Sandy
Springs, “9 to 5” is based on the 20th Century Fox
movie of the same name. After starring
in the film, Dolly Parton wrote new music for the play, and Patricia Resnick
wrote the book. It opened on Broadway in
April 2009. In this hilarious,
high-energy musical, three female co-workers conspire to get even with their
sexist, egotistical, bigoted boss. It’s
a spirited musical about friendship, teamwork and taking care of business in a
man’s world. Shows are at 8 p.m. April
10-12, April 18-19 and April 25-26 and May 2-3, and at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 27. Tickets are $23-$28 for adults and $15-$20
for students and seniors and may be purchased at www.act3productions.org.
