Brighton Beach Memoirs at Act3 Playhouse

Act3 Productions, the
community theater based in Sandy Springs (www.act3productions.org), will
present Brighton Beach Memoirs by
Neil Simon Jan. 23-Feb. 2, 2014.  This
classic coming-of-age comedy introduces audiences to the witty Eugene Jerome, a
15-year-old boy growing up in Brooklyn,
NY in the heart of the Great
Depression.  Said to be Simon’s most
autobiographical work, the play follows Eugene’s
misadventures as he goes through puberty in an over-crowded house.  Performances will be held at the Act3
Playhouse, 6285-R Roswell Road
in Sandy Springs.  Tickets range from $10 to $23 and may be
purchased at www.act3productions.org.  Performances are at 8 p.m. Thursday-Saturday,
Jan. 23-25 and Friday-Saturday, Jan. 31-Feb. 1, and at 3 p.m. on Sunday Jan. 26
and Feb. 2.
