A Day of Contemplation & Art

February 9th, 9 am – 3:30 pm - A Day of Contemplation & Art with Dana Greene, PhD, author of Denise Levertov: A Poet’s Life, at Mary & Martha’s Place. 
Mary & Martha’s Place has created a day of contemplation and art that promises to offer an alternative approach to the way we usually experience a learning day.

Dana Greene will discuss the 20th century poet, Denise Levertov’s intriguing story of spiritual coming of age and we will listen to Levertov’s experience with Mystery in her poetry. After Dana’s talk and the poetry reading, we will have opportunities to explore our own deeper levels of hearing and understanding. These opportunities include: Lectio Divinia, mandalas, journaling and meditation, poetry writing, small group gatherings.
After lunch we will hear from Dana once more followed by a time to ask her questions.
A brief closing ritual will bless our learnings and send us our into our daily lives.

Registration is $65 and includes a soup and sandwich lunch. Limited working scholarships are available.
