Adult Improv Night at Act3 Playhouse

The adult Improvisational Troupe of Act3 Productions, the professional-level community theater based in Sandy Springs, will perform at Act3 Playhouse on Saturday, Feb. 9, offering the audience an evening of spontaneous comedy for matuare audiences.  The Banshee Improv Troupe will take the stage at 8:30 p.m.  Tickets are $10, and may be purchased by phone at 770-241-1905, or online at www.act3productions.org.

It promises to be a raucous night of comedy by some of Atlanta’s finest adult improvisational performers.  The audience will create the characters and determine their costumes and what happens onstage.  The performance will feature local professional improvisers who have performed across the country in such prestigious theaters as the Upright Citizens Brigade, iO and Second City.  The show is designed for mature audiences, with parental discretion advised.

Act3 Production's Youth and Adult Improv Troupes are under the direction of Jesse Cramer, who has been involved in improvisational theater since 2006.  He performed for two years with the troupe, “Your Ex-Boyfriends”, and worked with theater companies in New York, Philadelphia, Los Angeles and Boston.  He teaches improv at Act3 Productions and also works with young people with autism at The Community School in Decatur, Ga.  Both of Act3 Productions’ improv companies are available to entertain outside the theater for birthday parties, corporate events or any special occasion.  Contact Michelle Peck, Act 3 Production’s director of education, for information and rates, michelle.act3@gmail.com.
