Just prior to the 15th, a decorating phantom will visit the restaurant and envelope it in bone stirring Halloween decorations, to kick off the high-spirited fun.

Then, Executive Chef Justin Keith will craft a four course wine pairing menu that will be served in the ghoulishly decorate private dining room on both Tuesday, October 23rd and 30th at 6:30pm.  The seasonally inspired menu will feature an Arugula Salad with poached pears, dried cranberries,  goat cheese and a maple pecan vinaigrette (served with Blackstock Vineyards Reserve Viognier), Pumpkin Bisque with toasted pumpkin seeds, crème fraiche (served with Wolf Mountain Winery Instinct), Braised Beef Short Ribs with Anson Mills faro, butternut squash, kale and red wine jus (accompanied by Wolf Mountain Winery Claret) and Apple Fritters with apple cider and caramel (served with Wolf Mountain Winery Blanc de Blanc).  The cost for this spooky good dinner is $50 per person, inclusive of tax and gratuity.

Then on Halloween night, guests are invited to don their favorite costume at an awe inspiring Costume Contest that will take place in Food 101’s spirited bar.   Gift Certificates will be given to the most creative costume, scariest costume and the grand prize of all around best costume will win a $100 gift certificate to Food 101.

Guests of all ages are also invited to enter their carved Jack O ’Lanterns in Food 101’s Fun for All Contest.  A cauldron full of prizes will be awarded to every age group and the winning Jack O’ Lanterns will be displayed on Food 101’s outdoor patio.
