Open House Coming on Renovated Holy Innocents' Episcopal Church

Holy Innocents' Episcopal Church recently completed major renovations and will hold an open house at 2 p.m., on Oct. 21.

The church is located at 805 Mount Vernon Highway.

The church started renovations in spring 2011. Architect and parishioner Thomas W. Ventulett III, sculptor Martin Dawe, and ironworks sculptor Andrew T. Crawford were consultants on the project. Their work will be featured during the open house.

The open house also includes music with mini-recitals on the new organ by Organist/Choirmaster David Brensinger and Atlanta Symphony Orchestra trumpeter Mike Tiscione at 2:40, 3:40 and 4:40 p.m. Also, Cal Johnson will play mini-recitals on the (existing) Schoenstein organ in the nave at 2, 3 and 4 p.m. And assistant organist Susan West will play programs on the Steinway piano in the new Music Room at 2:20, 3:20 and 4:20 p.m.
