David Evans, former president of the Rotary Club of Sandy Springs, died last Saturday.

Mr. Evans was a kind man, and Patch is also saddened by the news. I first chatted with him at the Sandy Springs/Perimeter Business Expo in 2011, and from that point on he always greeted me with a genuine smile and hug. He will clearly be missed by his family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at noon, Saturday, at Northside United Methodist Church, according to the Sandy Springs Chapel website.
