Nancy Dowis Worked as a School Crossing Guard for Atlanta Police
Funeral services will be held, Tuesday, at Sandy Springs Chapel.
Former Sandy Springs resident Nancy Dowis died Saturday. A Sandy Springs Chapel obituary said Dowis worked as a school crossing guard for the Atlanta Police Department for 13 years and sang in the choir at Wieuca Road Baptist Church.
Dowis was 83-years-old and preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Robert.
She was a member of of First Baptist Church in Gainesville. In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged for the church music department.

Funeral services will be held, Tuesday, at Sandy Springs Chapel, and Dowis will be laid to rest at Arlington Memorial Park.
