Baby Delivered Amidst the Chaos of Snow Gridlock

The delivery appears to have been without complications and EMS personnel arrived minutes later in Sandy Springs.

A Sandy Springs Police traffic officer and the new father assisted in the delivery of a baby girl around 5:25 p.m., Tuesday. The delivery was done in the parent’s car that was stranded on I-285 near Riverside Drive, according to Sandy Springs Police Capt. Steve Rose.

The delivery appears to have been without complications and EMS personnel arrived minutes later, Rose said. The child and parents were to be transported to the hospital.
