Schmitz was driving south on Roswell Road just past Hightower Trail, about 11:30 p.m., Friday, when she rear-ended a car. Her black Mercury Mountaineer crossed into the northbound lanes and struck another vehicle head-on and then hit a utility pole before landing on its side.
