Five Things to Do This Weekend

Music, family fun and comedy.

  • Police Family Fun Day. The Sandy Springs Police Department hosts their annual event from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Saturday, at 352 Sandy Springs Circle, located at the the corner of Roswell Road. Free admission. Some games and food will cost a small fee.
  • Comedian Greg Morton. The stand-up comic appears at The Punchline, Thursday through Sunday. Visit the website for showtimes and ticket prices. Morton is said to be a mix of Jerry Lewis and Jerry Seinfeld. Before comedy, he was a cartoon illustrator and separately a voiceover performer in animated features such as, “Police Academy,” “Super Mario Bros. 3,″ “Hammerman” and “Hello Kitty.”
  • Sausage Fest. Local Atlanta chefs will compete for the title of Sausage King. Admission gets you small tastes of the competitor's entries. 2-5 p.m., Sunday, at the , 5590 Roswell Rd, Atlanta, GA 30342 (5 Seasons Brewing Company, 5600 Roswell Rd)
  • Concert by the Springs. Banks & Shane perform 7-8:30 p.m. Sunday, on the Entertainment Lawn at  , 6110 Blue Stone Road. Free admission. Gates open at 5 p.m. Blankets and coolers are welcomed; no outside tables allowed.
  • Mark Michelson Family Jam. Bring friends, family and kids and join Mark Michelson for this Family Jam, 7-11 p.m., Sunday at the Old Crow Grill & Tavern, 8540 Roswell Road.
