Fulton Deputy Seriously Injured After Wrecking Car

A Fulton County sheriff’s deputy is listed in serious condition at Grady Memorial Hospital after an early Tuesday morning car accident in southwest Atlanta.

According to Fulton County police spokeswoman Cpl. Kay Lester, the accident occurred at approximately 12:35 a.m. in the 1300 block of Boat Rock Road.

The deputy was responding to a fight involving weapons when he lost control of his vehicle, which overturned and was badly damaged. The deputy, who has not been identified, had to be cut out of the car before being taken to the hospital.
