Missing Shooter's Black Cadillac Escalade Found
Sandy Springs Police are looking for Matthew Terry for the Sunday shooting of his ex-girlfriend. Shawn Crews is in serious condition but improving, police said.
Matthew Terry, 42, remains on the run for the Sunday shooting of Shawn Crews at Chastain Apartments on Roswell Road in Sandy Springs.
On Tuesday morning, police found Terry’s 2005 black Cadillac Escalade at a relative’s residence in metro Atlanta, however he could be traveling in Crews’ Mercedes C-280 with New York license plate no. FLX-3586, said Sandy Springs Police Capt. Steve Rose.

Rose said Terry is a resident of Poughkeepsie, NY and moved from Sandy Springs, a year ago.
Police believe Terry, who is Shawn Crews’ ex-boyfriend and the father of her toddler son, was waiting for Crews when she arrived home Sunday just after 5 p.m. The two argued, Crews ran out of the apartment and was shot several times - once in the face - in the breezeway or stairway, Rose said.

Her four-year-old son was at the location when the shooting occurred but not injured.
Crews, 38, was taken to Grady Hospital.
“She is continuing to improve but she has serious injuries,” Rose said. “We have not been able to talk to her.”
Warrants on Terry include Aggravated Assault, Burglary, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony.
