Police Arrest Man for Army Desertion, Find Multiple Drugs

Detectives learned through a tip that John Bently Pierce was staying at a Roswell Road apartment.

 

Sandy Springs detectives arrested John Bently Pierce, who was wanted for desertion from the United States Army, on Jan. 8.

According to a Sandy Springs Police report, detectives learned Pierce was at a Roswell Road apartment from a tip. The date of the warrant on Pierce was Nov. 5.

Several people were in the apartment when detectives knocked on the door, the report said. After Pierce was taken into custody, police found marijuana, LSD, ecstasy and more than $900 in cash.

The other individuals in the apartment were also arrested: Kyle Sanford, Spencer Rumer, Adonnis Taylor, Kayla Franklin, Steven Pailes and Christie Caldwell.
