Police-Community Partnerships Strengthened Nationwide on Aug. 2

In Sandy Springs, the event will be held from 6-8 p.m., at Hammond Park.

Sandy Springs Police and law enforcement agencies across the country will have “National Night Out,” on Aug. 2. Community events will be held, collectively, to bring a heightened awareness of crime prevention and police community-partnerships.

Locally, the event will be held from 6-8 p.m., at Hammond Park. Hamburgers, hot dogs, beverages and other delicacies will be available. Also, Sweet Pea Clown and Smokey the Clown will make appearances. 

Admission is Free. Parking will be available in the Glenridge Road and Hammond Park lots.

“National Night Out” started in 1984. By 2009, attendance across the country had swelled to 36 million people in 15,000 communities.
