Police: Man Wanted For Child Molestation Is A "Flight Risk"

Sandy Springs Police have charged Kelly Thrasher with identity fraud and forgery in the second degree after he allegedly obtained a U.S. Passport under a different name.

A man who has been indicted in Fulton County for child molestation now faces two additional charges.

The Sandy Springs Police Department have issued arrest warrants for Kelly Trasher on identity fraud and forgery in the second degree charges, accusing the man of obtaining a U.S. Passport under another name. The agency believes Thrasher is a "flight risk" and are seeking to place him under arrest.

Thrasher was indicted in early 2013 on child molestation, sexual battery and aggravated sexual battery following a police investigation that started in November 2012.

Earlier this year, Thrasher was arrested and charged with practicing medicine without a license. That charge stems from complaints that Thrasher was seeing patients in his office, which violates the Georgia State Licensing Board's suspension of his license pending the disposition of the earlier cases.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Kelly Thrasher is asked to contact Sandy Springs Police at 770-551-6900.
