Public Indecency Charge Leads Football Coach to Resign

The Sandy Springs coach was arrested for allegedly exposed himself to a woman in East Cobb on Jan. 29.

 

Reginald Burnette will not return to Mount Vernon Presbyterian School. The Atlanta Journal-Consitution reports that the former NFL player has resigned following his arrest for public indecency.

Burnette, who played in the NFL in the 1990s with the Green Bay Packers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was arrested for allegedly exposing himself to a woman in East Cobb on Jan. 29.

Earlier this month, Allison Toller, a spokesperson for Mount Vernon Presbyterian told the AJC that Burnette was placed on leave and no students or employees were involved in the alleged incident. She confimed to the newspaper, Tuesday, that he has resigned.
