Sandy Springs Doctor Indicted on Child Molestation Charges

Separately, 40-year old Kelly Thrasher is charged in a Nov. 2012 incident where he is accused of sexually assaulting a 38-year-old woman at his residence in Sandy Springs.

A Fulton County Grand Jury has indicted a Sandy Springs doctor on charges that he molested a juvenile female during a sleepover at his residence.

Doctor Kelly Thrasher was indicted Tuesday on Child Molestation. The Fulton County Grand Jury added the charges of Sexual Battery and Aggravated Sexual Battery to the indictment. Thrasher was arrested on Jan. 24 after his release from the Ridgeview Medical Center where he entered himself after detectives initiated a criminal investigation into the molestation complaint.

The 40-year old Thrasher is also charged in a Nov. 2012 incident where he is accused of sexually assaulting a 38-year-old woman at his residence in Sandy Springs. That case is set for Feb. 13, 2013 at 10 a.m. in Sandy Springs Municipal Court.

A court date on the indicted charges has not been set. Thrasher is currently free on $50,000 bond
