Sandy Springs Police have arrested Saul Locke, Jr. on charges related to the in the parking lot of a CVS Drug Store on Powers Ferry Road.
Police say Locke pushed the woman into the back seat of her car, and stole her purse outside the store. The victim ran after Locke as he fled to his truck, but fell, according to the police website. She was not injured seriously.
According to the SSPD website, Locke was arrested in Elizabethville, Pa earlier this month on fraudulent check charges. He was ordered by the Pennsylvania judge to return to Georgia and surrender to authorities by July 9. He did so, surrendering to the Cobb County Sheriff's Department on Monday. He is currently in the Cobb County Jail on similar robbery charges.
The 5 foot 9 suspect will be transferred to Sandy Springs Custody after Cobb County concludes initial court proceedings, the website said.
