UPDATE: Person Shot Near Sandy Springs Hotel
The victim was reportedly shot multiple times Thursday afternoon in the 800 block of Hammond Drive near Sheraton Hotel.
The Sandy Springs Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred Thursday afternoon in the 800 block of Hammond Drive.
According to WSB-TV, the agency has established a perimeter around the Sheraton Hotel, which sits near the intersection of Hammond Drive and Barfield Road.
Sandy Springs Police Capt. Steve Rose said one person was shot multiple times and has been transported to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment.
No suspect has been identified yet, he added.
